How much is the referral reward?
You’ll receive a $300 referral reward for each qualifying referred project of $5,000 or more.
What qualifies as a referral?
A qualifying referral must be a new prospective Groundhog Fence Company customer who has not already received an estimate from us for the project.
The referred customer must complete a qualifying project with a final project value of at least $5,000.
When does my referral need to be registered?
Your referral must be registered before Groundhog Fence Company provides an estimate for the referred project.
You can register the referral using the form on this page, or the person you’re referring can provide your name when they first contact us.
Once an estimate has been provided, the project is no longer eligible to be registered retroactively for a referral reward.
Is the $300 reward per person or per project?
Referral rewards are issued per qualifying project, not per person.
If multiple people or property owners are associated with the same project, only one $300 referral reward is available for that project.
Can I refer more than one person?
Absolutely.
There is no limit to the number of qualifying referrals you can make.
If you refer five separate customers who each complete qualifying projects, you can earn five separate $300 referral rewards.
Can I refer my neighbor if we're sharing a fence project?
Not if you’re participating in, paying for, or directly benefiting from the same project.
For example, if you and your neighbor decide to replace a shared property-line fence and split the expense, that project would not qualify for a referral reward.
The program is designed to reward customers for introducing Groundhog to new, independent projects, not to provide a rebate or discount connected to their own project.
What if my neighbor is building a completely separate fence?
That’s different.
If you recommend Groundhog to a neighbor who hires us for a completely independent qualifying project that doesn’t involve your property, shared fence, or project expenses, the referral can qualify.
Just make sure the referral is registered before an estimate is provided.
Can I refer someone in my household?
No.
Referrals must involve a separate customer, property, and independent project. Self-referrals, household referrals, or referrals structured to provide a reward connected to your own project do not qualify.
What projects qualify for the referral program?
Qualifying residential projects may include:
- Fence Installation
- Fence Replacement
- Custom Gates
- Gate Automation
- Decking
- Other eligible Groundhog projects
The completed project must have a qualifying project value of at least $5,000.
Does fence repair qualify?
A repair project may qualify if its final project value meets the $5,000 minimum and all other program requirements.
Does my friend need to mention my name?
If you submit the referral using the form on this page, we’ll already have your information.
If your friend contacts Groundhog directly, they should provide your name when they first contact us so we can properly register and credit the referral.
Remember that the referral must be registered before an estimate is provided.
What if two people refer the same customer?
Only one referral reward is available per qualifying project.
The referral that was properly registered first will generally receive credit for the project.
PROGRAM TERMS & Fine Print
Groundhog Refer a Friend Program Details
We want to keep our referral program simple, transparent, and fair.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Referral Reward: $300 for each qualifying referred project.
- Minimum Project Value: The referred project must have a final qualifying value of at least $5,000.
- New Referral: The prospective customer cannot already have received an estimate from Groundhog Fence Company for the referred project.
- Registration Deadline: The referral must be registered before Groundhog provides an estimate for the project.
- Per Project: Rewards are issued per qualifying project—not per person, homeowner, or individual associated with the project.
- One Reward Per Project: Only one referral reward can be issued for each qualifying project.
- Independent Project: The referred project must be separate and independent from any project involving or directly benefiting the referring customer.
- No Shared-Project Referrals: Shared property-line fences, jointly funded projects, or other projects from which the referring customer directly benefits do not qualify.
- No Self-Referrals: Customers cannot refer themselves or structure a referral to receive a reward connected to their own project.
- No Household Referrals: Referrals involving members of the same household do not qualify.
- Unlimited Referrals: There is no limit to the number of separate qualifying projects you may refer.
- Referral Identification: The referring person’s name must be provided through the referral form or by the referred customer before an estimate is issued.
- Completed Project: The qualifying project must be completed before the referral reward is issued.
- Paid in Full: Groundhog Fence Company must receive payment in full for the qualifying project before the referral reward becomes eligible.
- Duplicate Referrals: If more than one person refers the same project, Groundhog will generally recognize the first properly registered qualifying referral.
- Program Eligibility: Groundhog Fence Company reserves the right to determine whether a referral meets program requirements.
- Program Changes: Groundhog Fence Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program.
